PEMBROKE is an alt-synth project based in Nashville, TN. A collaborative effort between Nashville songwriters Taylor Mathews, Evan Gibb and songwriter/producer Phil Barnes, who also sings on the project.
PEMBROKE’s sound is built around dark 80’s-era synths, keys and urban drums, layered with lush, Copeland-esque vocals, care of Barnes’ ever-shifting gentle to gritty vocal performance.
PEMBROKE’s first EP, Alter Ego, varies from intimate vocal/piano moments on “As We Are" to heavy synth and guitar driven anthems like “I Don’t Quit.”
